Sol y Luna Guitar Duo is proud to present “Moods: Music of Old Europe,” an album dedicated to the musical epochs of the Renaissance,
Baroque, and Classical periods of Europe. The choice of the word "Moods" in the title is an invitation to you, the listener, to experience the moods evoked by the pieces as doorways in which to enter and feel the time and place in which each piece was composed. Although the moods are distinct, each being uniquely beautiful, they have similarities as well. Each piece creates an atmosphere formed by the composer's arrangement of musical elements, reflecting his experience in his time and place.

The final track, a group of traditional Christmas pieces from the Czech and Moravian regions, dating from the 16th century onward, pays homage to music frequently written by the village music teacher or priest to add to village festivities.

We hope you will be touched by the beauty and depth of the moods evoked by the pieces we have chosen in this tribute to "Old Europe."
